The Mesa Community Rose Garden Deadheaders are focused on maintaining the beautiful rose garden on the north end of the Mesa Community College along Southern Avenue. Here you will find nearly 9,000 roses of many different varieties that you can see firsthand here in Arizona. We are also the test garden for a number of growers that are testing future versions of roses you will see in the market.
Founded in 1995, The Mesa Community Rose Garden Deadheaders have served our communities for over 25 years. Our organization was established to maintain the growing need for roses in the garden so everyone can see how roses grow in AZ.
Our dedicated members help maintain the garden with a wide variety of duties. These include deadheading our roses so the roses will continue to bloom all season, Pruning both in fall and our major pruning in January - February, Spreading compost to help retain moisture in the soil, and help watch for repairs in our irrigation systems.
